Be mindful of words that come out of our mouths. They have the lethal capacity to destroy the heart and soul. Be mindful of gestures that seem normal to us. They have different connotations in different cultures.

Be mindful of kindness; it can be misconstrued. People are sensitive when they’re vulnerable. Be mindful of expressing sympathy in a social context. Victims are not seeking empathy but concrete support.
