If I Had To Choose A Piece by Vivaldi

Oh man, Vivaldi wrote a lot of violin concertos and sonatas with continuo. And he wrote the Four Seasons for violin and orchestra, but they are all so beautiful. He has composed a lot of work for violin and accompaniment or basso continuo. He not only wrote music for violin with other instruments, but he also wrote so many concertos, sinfonias, sonatas, operas, sacred music, cantatas, serenatas, and so many other large vocal works. It is not that I really can choose sometimes because I love so many works from Vivaldi.

I really can’t choose from his work. They all have their own characteristic elements and also, it is the time when he wrote his music. I am an amateur violinist, but I have played some of his work when I was a teenager and in one of my books with different music pieces, there is one the movements of the Four Seasons of Vivaldi (I don’t remember which one), and as a child, I danced on the Four Seasons with all the groups of the dance studio. So, maybe that is one of the favorite or on my list, I want to play on the violin.

In Vivaldi’s music, you hear what he felt during his life, and what was going on in the world. Composers always did that. And they are still doing that. Every composer has their past with them, they show it through their music, the compositions they make.

To me, it is very difficult to decide what music of Vivaldi my favorite is. Really, Vivaldi wrote so much good music, like so many composers. As said, I have danced on the Autumn of The Four Seasons. Every group of the dance studio. It was an amazing performance. I loved dancing on that part.

If I had to choose another piece of Vivaldi, it would be L’Estro Armonico, Op. 3, 12 concerti for violin(s) and accompany (dedicated to the Grand Prince of Tuscany, Ferdinand III de’ Medici, 1711). But I think that would be all the violin concerti by Vivaldi.

To me, it is difficult to choose between the music I like to listen to (which I also want to play, haha). I love classical music very much. And there is a lot of music. If I listen to all this music, I have another job, haha. No, seriously, it so hard to find a favorite piece from any composer. But maybe I’m really easy as I love so much music, or as you look from the other side, a difficult person for not choosing.
