If given the choice, which time period (past, present, or future) would you like to live in, and why?
Before I can pick a time period I would like to go back and consider the cars in that time period. Sorry, but you knew I would have to do that.
The 30’s
Pretty cool cars in the 1930s. Large Gangster sedans, large grills, running boards, and wide fenders front and back. I could live in this era.
The 40’s
Cars became more modernized with more features and colors. The Fords, Chevy’s, Lincoln’s, etc., and my favorite, the Cadillacs, oh my. I am ready to go back to the ’40s now.
The 50’s
Ok, I have to change my favorite time era. The ’50s had such classics as the ‘57 Chevy, ‘53 Corvette, the 57 Thunderbird, and Chevy Nomads. Ok, I just packed my suitcase for the ’50s.
The 60’s
This is when the term “Muscle Car” first appeared. I think every year in the ‘60s, I liked every car made for each of those years. Such awesome cars in the '60s.
Finally, the 70’s
1973 is when I worked at the car dealership. I had the time of my life back then. I was in high school; I had my friends. I had my 69 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. Life was great.
In my 9th grade, I was also allowed to eat at the lunch tables in high school reserved for the football team. Mainly because many of the players went to my church, and they took care of me, and nobody said a word about it.
PS: I ate well in school that year.
I also had another job (more on this later), where I drove a liquor delivery van and delivered liquor all over north Louisiana at 18! Who gives an 18-year-old kid a van full of liquor and a strong box full of money?
My Final Decision, The 70’s
The reasons I want to go back to the ’70s.
· The cars, especially the 73 Dodge Challenger · And the 70 Plymouth Superbird · During the ’70s is when I started my journey to becoming my own man. · I began making my own money and helping out my single Mom. · I graduated high school and started college in the ’70s. · And finally, Disco and all the music were so great in the ’70s. · Basically, we had the best cars and the best music in the ’70s. · And, I could see my beloved dog Karman and my Mom again. Just not in that order.
The future is not for me
I would love to experience the new futuristic innovations in technology. However, I will leave that to the younger crowd.
Especially the Occupy Mars adventures Elon Musk has in store. Those who want space travel and to go to the Moon and the next stop, Mars. Good Luck and God Speed. Please send me a postcard.

I am ready to go back to 1970. Just let me put on my leisure suit with the bell-bottom pants.
