IDK- A Journey Into Free Verse

I am dipping a toe in the waters of free verse.

I didn’t know how thirsty I was until the cool waters of your love graced my lips.

I didn’t know how hungry I was until I tasted your devotion.

I didn’t know how tired I was until I rested in your admiration.

I didn’t know what true love was until you delivered it to me in a package called you.

Rhyme is my safety net. Stepping away from rhyme feels very uncomfortable and scary. I want to grow as a writer so I am taking a chance by writing free verse. Thank you for taking the time to read my sprint free verse!
