Idealism is Not Fantasy
All Actions Begin with a Thought
Some people describe me as being idealistic, and I suppose I am, but believe it or not, I’m also a realist. On the surface, that may sound incompatible, but in truth, it is not. Let me explain.
I once asked a friend, who was Catholic, why they ask for forgiveness not only for deeds, but for thoughts as well when they went to confession. At the time, I thought you couldn’t really control your thoughts, and if nothing bad happened, if the person with bad thoughts never followed through on them, why were those thoughts a sin? No harm, no foul, right? My friend explained to me that all sins begin with a thought.
Years later, I’m such a different person, and I’ve been thinking about that conversation a lot lately. I now believe that we can control our thoughts to a great extent, and when we find ourselves thinking negatively, we can stop and choose other thoughts to replace them. I’ve also considered my friend’s comment over the years and I think he was right. All sins do begin with a thought. Conversely, however, so do all good deeds. So do all great ideas and inventions.
I often write about all the changes happening right now for the Earth and all of us living here. I also share a lot of the messages I channel with the Archangels, because I want to share the hope they’ve given me with others. And there is a lot for which to be hopeful. Years ago, I wouldn’t have believed the things I hope for could become a reality, and years ago, I would’ve been right, but this is now, and I know all these idealistic thoughts I have are not only possible, they’ll eventually become our reality.
I’ve received comments telling me that not only am I idealistic, but the utopia I envision and write about is harmful to others, giving them false hope, that I’m living in a fantasy land, that all these things will never happen, because people will never change, yada, yada, yada. I know the world is a mess right now, and I also know that the things I hope for have never happened on a global scale, but the reality is, people are changing. All the time. And people will continue to change, until idealism is taken to the next step, from envisioning to planning.
Ask any entrepreneur, CEO, or inventor how they got to be where they are now, and chances are extremely high that they will tell you that it all started with an idea they had. This can be said for authors, also. Articles and books begin with an idea that grows into a plan that eventually — hopefully — becomes a reality. Dreamers are thinkers. True, if the thought never gets past the dream stage, nothing is likely to happen, but all good things start with a good idea, just as much as all bad things also start with an idea.
So, let’s get real for a minute. The world is in desperate need of change in so many areas, I can’t begin to list them. When I think of the ideal world, I don’t think of our first step being standing in a circle, holding hands, and singing Kumbaya. Although that sounds kind of nice — certainly better than screaming at each other — that’s not going to lead to the changes needed. Solutions begin with one thought by one person. Sometimes, it never goes any farther, but it certainly can, should you choose to take it farther.
Change is Already Happening
People are taking notice of things that have always been there, but have never been addressed. There has always been inequality, but people are seeing it more clearly for the first time. That’s not the good part though. The good part is that, not only are they taking notice, they’re beginning to have thoughts and dreams about how it is now and comparing them to how it should be. Whether or not you’re a supporter of the Black Lives Matter and Me, Too movements, they are both new realities that have moved from thoughts to actions. And that’s only the beginning.
We’ve all been so tunnel-visioned for so long, concentrating on survival, being afraid of what the future may hold, that we haven’t been able to see outside our own bubble of misery, but that’s changing. For the first time ever, people are beginning to question things that have always been in place and, if not accepted, ignored. People are beginning to see themselves in others’ faces, and some are beginning to reach out to make new connections, when in the past, they kept to themselves.
People are beginning to become concerned for more than just themselves and those closest to them. They’re beginning to see the worth in others and equating it to their own. People are beginning to question the status quo and the thought that there’s got to be a better way is more and more prevalent. But that’s not all. Some are taking their idealistic ideas and beginning to formulate plans to make them a reality.
Those in power are being questioned. Organized religion is being questioned, especially regarding the ideas that some people are not worthy or loved by God. More and more people are replacing long held beliefs for new ideals that consider everyone of equal importance and value. The people in power are getting more and more antsy and are trying to plant seeds of polarity everywhere, and they have taken root, but will they continue to grow? For a while perhaps, but I believe eventually, they’ll wither and die once more people catch on to the objectives behind them.
So many people have written to me, telling me my work resonated with them, because they’ve been restless for some time, not understanding why. They feel an internal pull to reach for more, to find the truth and discover a purpose. They’re looking for a new direction, but they’re having difficulty finding their true north. It will come, I promise you.
Change is possible now, because our reality is now different. The Earth is in a different dimension, and people are beginning to catch up. More and more will follow, until the majority are on board and begin to move idealistic thoughts into positive actions. It’s only a matter of time.
And in the Meanwhile …
Embrace the change. Open your mind and heart to new possibilities. Whereas not too long ago, people did not have the mindset necessary to move toward a better world, that is no longer the case. People are becoming more conscious of how separated they are from others and deciding to move more towards a unity perspective. Instead of living in fear, they’re beginning to reach for hope. Instead of isolating themselves, they’re contemplating what it would be like if everyone began to work together for the common good, rather than thinking in terms of everyone for themselves.
Embrace this new paradigm and see yourself in others’ faces. Identify systemic problems that need to change. Once identified, picture the ideal. Envision it. Then, instead of asking questions like, What if the world ends tomorrow?, begin to ask things like, What would happen if we all did this one thing? What if a solution could be found that ended …? What would the solution look like?; What would it take to make it happen? What can I contribute?
People are more open to this new way of thinking. They’re looking and finding their inner power. They’re open to new solutions and possibilities. They’re beginning to see that we’re all connected, and we all matter.
Final Thoughts
I don’t mind being called idealistic, but let’s extend that a bit and remember that all change begins with an idea. All ideas begin with a vision of what we’d like to see as an end result. In our mind, we don’t envision something that fails, we picture a perfect rendition and end result, also known as an ideal. The idea can end and be forgotten and set aside, or a plan can begin to be developed. Plans can be shelved, or they can turn into actions. Actions can be successful or not, but they have the potential to bring about change. Without action, there can be no change. But it all starts with a thought, and the thought is always idealistic, only because it hasn’t had a chance to become a reality yet. That takes time and effort.
So, I’m going to continue to think idealistically and trust the Archangels when they tell me things are changing for the better. My idealistic vision includes everyone caring about and helping each other however they can, placing equal value on all people, and embracing differences, working together to solve the world’s problems. I’m going to picture all of those problems being solved, and I’m going to contribute to the solutions however I can, using the gifts God gave me to make a positive difference. I’m going to monitor my thoughts, avoiding fear and anger and replacing such feelings with love and hope.
It may not have been possible in the past, but it is now, with all the help we’re getting, all the energies sent to us to facilitate the new mindset and help us to embrace a new 5D way of living and thinking, until my idealistic vision becomes reality.
Love, Light, and idealistic blessings to all of you.
