I’d Pay Alex Hormozi $5,000. I’m Shocked We Talk for Free

I was in for a pleasant surprise!

I’ve received advice from the best in the world.

The recommendations are far more impactful than reading a book twice or thrice. Have you ever been there? The chats are helpful because they happened when I needed expert opinion the most. Here’s how you can have these chats as well.

It is nothing compared to sitting across from the person. But this help.

GrammarHippy roasts his community every week. They hit all the copywriting rules miles out of the stadium. But they need him. Why?

Zero sales. Good copy doesn’t guarantee you anything.

That’s why I enjoy talks with experts.

They see all your blind spots.

Let’s go from crackers to Oreo cookies.

Part 1. Swap generals for commanders

My tiny change led to fascinating outcomes.

Picture a Trail Mix crumb. It’s really small.

As a beginner, I’d use general terms when writing my ChatGPT prompts. You’ve seen this phrase “Act as a copywriter…” “Act as a social media manager.”. All professional stands by different beliefs. Your English says more words. David Ogilvy recommends less.

I made a simple swap, yeah.

Pick one specific name from the industry. I want my copy to echo the principles of David Ogilvy or $100M leads Alex Hormozi. If you have someone else in mind, add their name to your prompt.

I didn’t dream it would be so easy. My prompt reads.

Act as Alex Hormozi and rate my offer.

For context, I offer:

[HERE I DESCRIBE MY OFFER]

Part 2. Pick the commanders playbook.

You want the benefits of greater specificity.

I love the book Ogilvy on Advertising and Made to Stick. Ogilvy on Advertising alone has 224 pages. Meanwhile, $100 Million Leads by Hormozi is 161 pages. Within are over 12 strategies on how to maximize your offer copy.

Which strategy do you hope improves your sales text?

I used Alex’s 4-part value equation framework. And I shared the strategy in a summarized version for ChatGPT to use. Here it is.

So, after entering the first prompt and my offer details…

I complete the prompt with:

You should rate my offer based on Alex Hormozi’s 4-part value equation framework:

1) How desirable is this offer’s dream outcome from a scale of 1–100? (“Dream Score”) 2) How high is the offer’s perceived likelihood of achievement on a scale of 1–100? (“Success Score”) 3) How high is the offer’s perceived time delay between purchasing the product and reaching the promised achievement on a scale from 0 to 1? (“Time Score”) The higher the time delay, the higher the score. Ideally, the perceived time delay should be as low as possible. 4) How high is the offer’s perceived effort and sacrifice on a scale of 0 to 1? (“Effort Score”) The higher the perceived effort, the higher the score. Ideally, the perceived effort and sacrifice should be as low as possible.

After rating each of the 4 components, calculate an “offer score”, which is calculated like this:

1) Multiply “Dream Score” with “Success Score” 2) Multiply “Time score” with “Effort Score” 3) Divide the product of the Dream & Success score with the product of the Time and Effort Score to get the “offer score”

In your output, provide actionable advice for how I can tweak my offer to get a higher score on each of the 4 components of the value equation framework.

Also, advice me on 2 other offer structures with higher offer score that I could consider instead of my current one, and explain why they have a higher score.

Here’s the conversation.

Have you ever been hungry? Then swallow your first bite. It’s the same here with the response. One Aha-moment served right up.

It was perplexing. Why would someone reject an offer that destroys risk?

The specific prompt model ensures ChatGPT doesn’t give you general, fluff advice. It told the exact prescription Alex would recommend to up the strength of my offer. What is it?

Risk elimination + proof I can deliver the promise = higher chances the lead bites.

It seems simple now.

But the suggestion got me out of a funk.
