My Experience Writing an Entire Article Using Only AI

I wrote a full article with an AI writer.

Yes….but the result will shock you.

Well, I definitely learned some interesting lessons recently when I tried using AI to write content for my golf website.

I mean, I had heard about these AI writing tools and how they can churn out articles pretty quickly.

So I decided, hey, why not give it a shot?

I found that AI writers can write a Full Article

When I started researching different AI content creators, I realized I had to think about a few things.

First off, I needed to make sure the writing quality would be up to snuff for my audience.

I also wondered if it would help or hurt my Google rankings to use AI. Based on my understanding, search engines place a high content value that exhibits a "human touch".

But a few tools I looked at seemed pretty sophisticated, using lots of data and keywords to craft posts.

I thought maybe I could get the rapid creation part from the AI and then put my spin on things.

So I wrote a full article on June 4, 2023, with AI writer(which I use mostly to take help)

So The Experiment Begins

I couldn’t wait to start this little experiment, I gotta say.

I was pumped to see what kind of golf content this AI could generate for me on its own!

Now, I know there are pros and cons with these kinds of tools.

The pros are crazy fast publishing speeds. The cons are potential issues with search rankings and maybe the content lacks personality.

But I figured the only way to know for sure was to give it a whirl on my own site.

Well, just like I hoped, that first article I had the AI write for me did super well at first!

I published it on my site and boom — it started climbing the Google rankings.

It was ranked on first page of Google for the keyword: Golf Cart Fuse Box Location.

Seemed like the perfect search engine-friendly post right off the bat from my robot-writing friend.

But….

The diestar was yet to come and his name was October Spam Update.

But suddenly, things took a turn…Over the next few weeks, I noticed the rankings start to tank.

The content was the same, but for some reason, Google just didn’t like it as much anymore.

my article was dropped to almost 17th position in search rankings.

i kept searching and I was curious to know the reason.

So I waited almost 2 to 3 months with the hope that it would again rank on the first page. but I was wrong.

And that’s when I realized the value of that human touch thing I mentioned earlier.

Turns out Google’s algorithms can tell an AI-written post from the real deal.

Time for me to get my hands dirty!

So i started to add some human touch(add opinion and emotions, Faq’s)

and you know what…..

It started raking on the First page of Google Search.

So in summary, I’d say AI content creation tools can have their place if you use them carefully and sprinkle in some of that secret human sauce to keep the Google gods happy.

For now, my site will use a healthy combo of both!
