I Won!

My battle against Covid19

My oxygen level was at 60, I felt as if I was going to have a stroke. I saw death I felt the demons, betting on my soul. They circled me like hunger vultures Then a friend called me and said, “Fight back, don’t let them win. Just pray, no matter what.” I did and that was the beginning of my return back to life.

I did, as he said, I fought back,

They’d hit And I’d hit back

My oxygen levels began to rise, I thought I was winning and then, The doctor said, “We want just one patient to walk out of here.” I was shocked.

The next morning, I was struggling, “Perhaps no one will miss me, the world will go on,” I thought.

But when my heart started to fail, I changed my mind. “I want to live.”

I prayed, I followed ever instruction, took every pill, needle, x-ray, whatever it took to get better, I did it.

I am still not 100%, but I am still here, al hamduillah.

I celebrate this blessing With a promise to myself And to my Lord,

I will not forget, Allah’s mercy upon me.

I celebrate this new life, I won!
