I Wish To Be A Child Again

A wishful poem

I wish to be a child again Unfurling my world of imagination Creating fairies & warriors, Pretending as prince or princess Fighting mean dragons and beyond With stories read every night to me Fairies and angels sneaking in my dreams My world of innocence, love, kindness and purity Created, lived and relished by me ;

I wish to be a child again With no worries or responsibilities Wearing superhero capes & jumping in puddles Filling and emptying buckets of sand Touching those beautiful snowflakes and Imagining a wonderland ;

I wish to be a child again Playing in fall leaves all day long Making my sheet castles with tables and chairs around Laughing without reasons, paying no heed to others words Looking out of the window and sometimes asking questions absurd ;

I wish to be a child again Amidst abundance of life So much alike any child’s vivacious world With reflections of Pure Innocence, Love and Kindness Inside ;

I wish to be a child again If not in reality ….. Maybe sometimes in moments inside my dreamworld.
