I Will Write

I will write

With drops of blood

That oozed from my shattered heart.

I will write with

The howling sorrow,

A melody to which my heart limps along.

I will write with

This one tear, made of crystal,

Replacing all tears yet to fall.

I will write with

The gentle blush of my cheeks,

That mimics the sunset from our last night together.

I will write with

Dying memories of true happiness

Glimmering in a young girl’s eyes.

I will write with

The tornadic rage

That inhabits the black crevasses of my mind.

I will write with

The energy of a supernova,

Hurtling contents of you and me into the black expanse.

I will write with

The power of my waves,

As they crash into your shores and consume you to extinction.

I will write with

Everything I have lost,

Everything I still possess,

Everything I have yet to discover.

No matter,

I will write.
