I Will Not Face the Van Gogh Fate in my Aliveness on Earth

“Close your eyes, fall in love stay there.” ~Rumi

I will not face the Van Gogh fate in my aliveness on Earth. Yellow paint does not bring me joy in consumption.

Both my ears firmly upon my head, listening to those who care for my heart.

I will not question my creative abilities. Purple paint splashed on a page in imperfection may be someone else’s beauty too.

My heart will not be given away in a jar. My heart light will though, to anyone who may need it.

I will not check out of life, in body or mind before my time. Blue paint hugs the white of clouds in their temporary existence —

the existence of the am I, as well.

The Sun will shine.

I will not cast aside the love and care given to me — out of fear, or insecurities, or past. Green paint swirls about my pages and my dreams.

My freedom to be freely is —

in the river that is me.

The flow of the happenings in the water that becomes one with the tree beings of my page.

I will be full in my gratitude, in my blessings, in every color of my palette, in every letter of my being. In every swirl of sound.

In the purple first rainbow.

We may not see in all aspects of light, but we can feel into the existence of peace.

And here in the prism of me, I am free to be in my aliveness, as this me.

With radical love,

Jenny Lane

Joyful, peaceful, radical love and acceptance in 2024, my friends!

And thank you to Mr. Vincent Van Gogh, your life has taught me to believe so fully in myself (especially when I’m not) in the beauty of imperfection we are, and in our creations.

There is such beauty in our imperfections.
