I Went to My Mother’s Lap and Said Thank You to God

I am and I will always be grateful

Mother is our guardian angel. God created mothers because he can’t always be with us. Mother is a blessing for all of us. In her eyes, we can see the purest love for us. Her place is divine and no one can ever take her place.

She is a gift from God. A gift that no one can take from us. She shows light in dark. She cares when we are down. She is everything a little one wants.

Our lovely Mother

She is a little cute and a little tough too.

She is a bit cool and old-fashioned too.

She is a little clever, and a bit emotional too.

If she laughs, every trouble passes.

She is like a key to fate which opens every lock.

Yes, she is our lovely mother

We don’t understand what magic is there in her hand,

Even in simple lentils-rice, she cooks there is a taste of feast.

When we are in trouble she cries.

And She wets her scarf with tears even when we are Happy.

She weaves prayers in every single tear.

Yes, she is our lovely mother.

She is a little soft and a little hard too.

Time seems to stop when we sit on her lap.

There are lines of worry on her face,

But our mother is the most beautiful person in the world.

Yes, she is our lovely mother.

Mothers are the epitome of our life. She is our protector and our guider. She has the solution to every problem. Today whatever we are it’s just because of her prayers.

I don’t know from where that much strength comes in her. She hides her pain behind the walls just to make us happy. She is the medicine to our wounds. She makes us fearless. It’s because of her we find joy, contentment, and peace in our life.

As we grew elder. We leave the house for higher education. Our minds change. There are times when we don’t understand what she is trying to tell us. We debate with her.

We fight, we argue. Yes, I do fight with her. I shout at her when I am in some trouble but she never shouts back. She hears me. She cares for me. She is the one who shares the tiniest of things which are important for me to know.

Sometimes, we are so lost in our lives that we forget that she is the most beautiful blessing. We take things for granted. We never say what she means to us.

I realize this again when this incident took place.

My friend came to our home on vacation. She stayed with me for some days. And she neither has a mother nor father. They both passed away when she was small. She has a stepmother now. She is damn good, no doubt.

We were just discussing some tiny little things about life. She was telling me many problems she faced. It was such a discussion which I can easily go and share with my mom. But she didn’t have anyone to share. She was telling me many such things.

I realized how grateful I am to have my mother by my side. I can tell her anything I can, I can shout at her when I am down but it was not the same with her.

At a very young age. She has learned many lessons about life. So, my soul was teaching me some values.

I went into the hall as my mom was watching TV with dad. I just went and put my head on her lap and said Thank you to God. A tear rolled up on my cheeks. I could sense that God was hearing that and I just wiped my tears and came back to my friend.

I didn’t tell mom that day anything as I don’t want to say her why I came neither I told my friend.

But from that day. She was everything for me. I still fight but I often go and kiss her, hug her and Pray to God first for her happiness.

I want you to go and say Thank you to her for all she did for you until now and will always do.

Say Thank you to her in any form:

  • Say on call if you are away.
  • Hug them if you are at home.
  • Talk with her by looking at stars, if she is no more. You will feel good.
  • If you can’t say to her. Say to God Thank you for that blessing.

“I understood the blessing of my mother when I saw someone who’s mother was no more to pat on their back.”

Take care.

And always express love to your mother and dear ones.
