Summary

A poetic reflection on the delicate encounter between the speaker's heart and a butterfly.

Abstract

The poem "I Watched A Butterfly Fly Haphazardly Towards My Heart" is a tender piece from a collection of love poems that captures the serene and gentle interaction between a butterfly and the speaker's heart. I watched a butterfly Fly haphazardly Towards my heart

It landed on me Like a feather on a pillow So light So

So very gently

And I, with no reason to fear Such a quiet And delicate invitation,

Slept And dreamt And when I woke I observed my butterfly still there

Its fluttering wings now Matching the beating of my heart So light So

So very gentle

Its beating wings So gently matching The fluttering of my heart
