I was reminded of the fact that revisiting a piece of music can evoke old emotions or feelings which I experienced initially at the time of first listening to that music.

I must say I notice it mostly with negative feelings. For example, the kind of songs released during a period of — say for example — intense anxieties, tend to evoke the same feelings again.

I even remember (during childhood) watching a comedy movie on a Sunday evening with my family in a cinema hall, while at the same time being consumed with anxieties of the next day, Monday. So if at all I happen to revisit that movie or songs in it, I am reminded of old feelings.

The music or the song by itself maybe beautiful and might not be by any means intended to evoke bad feelings at all, but that doesn't count.
