I Was Making Passive Income For Years and I Had No Idea — Here’s How
As I combed through the new dashboard, I saw something strange

If you’re like me and you’ve been trying to make passive income online for years, you know how easy it is to completely forget most of what you’ve tried in the past because of the sheer number of passive income streams you’ve tried to build.
This is exactly what happened to me.
It all started with Stripe
Last month, I was logging into my Stripe account to check on the status of my Medium Earnings and I noticed this drop-down menu on the upper left:
I clicked on “Spotify for Podcasters” and it took me to a different dashboard called “Stripe Express”
As I combed through the new dashboard, I saw something strange
Earnings, years of earnings…
Remember how everyone and their mother was starting a podcast when we were all bored in the house and in the house bored in 2020?
Well, I had started one too…
And I apparently forgot that I had enabled monetization on Spotify.
So here I am, almost 4 years later, still earning about $.01 per month from that podcast.
It sure isn’t going to make me rich, but hey, that right there’s an example of a forgotten Minimalist Side Hustle if I ever saw one. What do you think Jamie Northrup?
