I Walk Alone — Poetry

You sliced my heart into shreds

Photo by Larisa Birta on Unsplash

I walk alone now A broken heart A broken soul You left me here You had your own goals I was taking too much of a toll I always was It was always them for you For I always seemed too square, too old Y’all made fun of me But now there is no life in either of you

You killed my spirit You killed my might You killed my merit You killed our relationship You severed it

Over and over Over and over Over and over Over and over Over and over

It was you that made me bled But you’re the ones that ended up dead You’re the ones that were never right in the head You’re the ones that needed to be led You’re the ones that could’ve chose better instead You’re the ones that took my heart and sliced it into shreds

I walk alone now I am alone now I feel alone now

Surrounded by love

Yet, I am alone You left me alone You told me to leave you alone But now you’re gone Now, I’m gone
