I Used ChatGPT Every Day for 10 Months, Here’s What I’ve Learned
From generating realistic images to browsing the latest information, to analyzing data, and so on.
If you’ve been following me, you know I’ve been talking about ChatGPT for a while now.
And when ChatGPT-4 came out, I decided to take things up a notch and got the pro plan.
Trust me, it’s been totally worth it.
Since then, I’ve been using GPT-4 like crazy, every single day, and it’s been seriously impressive.
And that’s what I am talking about in this post.
Just a quick heads-up, though — to access all the cool features I’m about to talk about, you’ll need the ChatGPT pro version.
With that said, let’s get started.
1. DALL·E 3 With GPT-4
Guess what’s new in GPT-4?
They’ve juiced it up with DALL·E 3 right inside ChatGPT.
This upgrade lets you whip up way more realistic images, and it’s gotten pretty darn good at creating visuals that match the text you throw at it.
The cool thing is, you don’t need some super specific prompt to make it work. Just type out whatever pops into your head, and it’ll create an awesome image based on that.
Check this out — with just a simple prompt, it churns out a bunch of eye-catching images.
Plus, you can fire away with follow-up questions and even tweak a particular image to your liking.
I’ve gone ahead and penned down a whole post about it. If you’re curious, you can dive into all the details right here.
2. Browse With Bing
Right from the get-go, we knew ChatGPT couldn’t surf the web and serve up the freshest info.
That’s why other chatbots like Bard got their moment in the spotlight — they could dish out the latest updates.
But wait, the ChatGPT crew is really, really great. They’ve rolled out a nifty feature called “Browse with Bing.”
Here’s how to dive in — start by clicking on the GPT-4 button and choose “Browse with Bing.”
Now, you’ve got the power to fire away with any questions you have about the latest happenings.
For instance, I fired off a question about a cricket match that went down on October 14th, and here’s what ChatGPT brought to the table:
It gave me the lowdown on who came out on top, which player stood out, and even spilled the beans on the target score, and more.
You can do the same — throw any question its way, and it’ll serve up a spot-on answer.
Cool, right?
3. Advanced Data Analysis
If you’re keeping up with my posts, you’ve probably seen me talk about Code Interpreter quite a bit.
But what’s the deal with comparing Code Interpreter and Advanced Data Analysis?
Well, let me break it down for you.
Initially, the ChatGPT team named it Code Interpreter for data analysis, but later they decided to give it a snazzier name — Advanced Data Analysis. But they’re essentially the same thing.
Now, let me give you the lowdown on what this feature can do for you.
First off, you can upload a hefty chunk of data in various file formats.
Once it’s got your data, it works its magic and whips up a bunch of eye-catching charts that’ll help you make sense of it all visually.
But that’s not all — you can pull off a bunch of super handy tasks with it.
I’ve written a stack of posts diving deep into all the cool stuff you can do. If you want to explore further, just hop on over and give them a read.
4. ChatGPT Vision
If you’ve read on GPT-4, you probably already know it’s a big deal.
It’s a massive multimodal model, and it’s a major upgrade over GPT-3.5. But hold on, there’s more exciting news — it’s called ChatGPT Vision.
I’ve personally given ChatGPT Vision a try, and let me tell you, it’s seriously impressive.
Here, you can upload images and ask it just about anything related to those images. For instance, I tossed in a comic page and asked it to spill the beans on the story — and it nailed it.
I also tried an RBI report page, had it convert image code into text, and even asked it to break down the logic behind a flowchart.
To give you more info, I’ve put together a whole post with examples.
If you want to get a taste of what it can do, dive into that post — it’s packed with insights and real-world demos.
5. ChatGPT Plugins
Now, I’ve got a question for you.
Aren’t the features we’ve learned about so far in this post really mind-blowing?
If you’re wondering what I think, well, I’m totally on board.
Here’s what’s up — OpenAI is making this super versatile tool called ChatGPT. It’s like a super helpful AI friend with lots of cool features that can speed up your work.
And guess what’s even cooler — plugins! They keep adding more of them over time.
Yep, there are lots of plugins you can easily use inside ChatGPT to do all sorts of tasks.
For example, there’s this AskTheCode plugin — great for asking questions about a GitHub repo. Developers will find it super handy!
Need to find flights or rental cars? No problem — the Kayak plugin can help with that. And there’s the Make A Sheet plugin, which creates CSV files you can use in Google Sheets or MS Excel.
But there’s even more!
You can get plugins to make cool presentations, quiz ChatGPT about general knowledge, create and edit flowcharts and mind maps, and lots of other fun things.
Hope you like it.
That’s it — thanks.
