I Thought Donald Trump Apologized, But I Was Wrong

The speech made my day

I was asleep when I heard a familiar voice apologized in a video. My friend is watching something. The leader in the video started speech saying as “Today I am here to say sorry for my mistake and careless during a pandemic.”

This voice made my day.

President Donald Trump’s decision has not only affected 5 million + people, but it also affected the other part of the world and influenced the other head of the states in Asia. He needs to be sorry.

He continues further, “Dear ladies and gentlemen, I ask for forgiveness because I let around two hundred thousand people die because of my incompetence during a pandemic. I am sorry because I let the economic sink and left the American unemployed. I was not working in the White House but was golfing while America and the world were in trouble.”

Twitter and Facebook previously warned about fake data our leaders provided, and when they don’t, we need to check the reliability every time Trump speaks. But his speech today doesn’t need any fact check or validation. Many people have lost their job, and we vividly see it.

My friend abnormally laughed while listening to this video, but it wasn’t new for me. Every time Trump speaks, he laughs. I am sure you too.

“I am sorry I am your President. I won’t be here for a long time, so enjoy and cherish me while you can.”

I wondered what’s wrong today. Is Trump giving a farewell speech? Has he given up the presidency race too early? What made him quit the race before the election itself? This speech was emotional yet funny.

“I, Donald Trump, President of The United States of America, apologize on behalf of myself to the American citizens and the whole world for not being able to see the world as the global vision. I saw American as the first priority”. This sentence waked me up as I thought Donald Trump apologized for his mistake. The voice further continued, “I apologize for destroying the peace of many countries. Should I mention the name of these countries? I am sorry.”

President’s last sentence spiked my tolerant level beyond the limit. Mr. Trump himself wouldn’t be confessing so genuinely even on the judgment day. If Jesus Christ would ask about his deeds in the earth, I think he would have said, “Nobody knows the world as I do.”

I googled “Donald Trump’s apology speech,” to which I got no recent news or videos. I then popped up on my friend’s mobile to see what is he watching. It wasn’t Donald Trump, but Trump’s caricature performed by Manoj Gajurel from Nepal.

Mr. Gajurel, a well-known comedian, had mimicked the President of America in many instances, but this performance is different. This speech is something the world needs today. If not from the President himself, at least by his parody, we got to hear it.

No, a comedian mimicking the supreme leader won’t solve the problem but lets the universe know that our world leaders owe a series of apologizes for their incompetent leadership.

The fake voice continued, “America is a global leader, so it has the most responsibility. I apologize for not being able to do so. I apologize for saying the global COVID19 as the Chinese virus”. He went on to a few more apologies. My friend and I continued to laugh till the end where he disappoints, “No, this is not my speech. It’s a fake speech, and I do not apologize.”

I wish the comedian hadn’t twisted the climax because the world needs an apology. However, it is a blasphemy to imagine our political leaders apologizing in front of the world. If not to us, they owe an apology to our comedians for taking their jobs in the last few decades. A loss of employment must be the reason a comedian contested an election for the post of presidency in Ukraine.

But as said, laughter is good medicine, and this comedy show made our day.
