I Stopped Posting on My Google News page, and this happened

Did I lose money?

When you stop posting on Medium for weeks, you lose money. That’s a fact.

I believe in posting consistently, at least three times a week, on Medium or any other platform, nonetheless, there’s a downside to this.

When you stop posting consistently, lose money, and sometimes followers, unfollow, and you and the algorithm get angry.

I published my last piece on my latest Google News page over a month ago.

Did I lose money?

Yes.

My first month’s earnings were nothing to write home about because I didn’t stick to a consistent posting schedule; however, I published four articles in the first week.

Then, two or three articles after that. I haven’t posted anything on that page since.

This is how much I made in February 2024 after posting six articles in total. I stopped posting, I haven’t published anything on that Google News page for more than a month:

March is over, and I’ve published nothing for the month of March.

Did I lose money?

Well, in February, I published six articles and made $29. This month, I’ve published nothing, and I’ve made $12 without writing or engaging.

On average, in a month, I made less than $8 a week by posting six articles for that month.

In March, I didn’t post anything, and I made $12 , so what would happen if I went all in with that page for the rest of the month?

In my experience, writing on Medium is like playing the lottery. You can’t predict how much money you’ll earn based on your post frequency. However, you increase your chances of winning by posting and engaging more.
