February Six Word Photo Story Challenge: “Statues”

Jake and Elwood caught my attention.

Why would there be statues of the famous Blues Brothers, Jake and Elwood, in the small town of Dunnellon, Florida?

I found out that the owner of the Two Rivers Inn did it as a fun way to catch the attention of tourists. What better way to get people to stop than to provide a fun unusual landmark at the corner stop sign for a photo opportunity?

I had no idea this statue was there until Rich pulled up to the stop sign and I said, “Hold on! Let me get a picture!” This statue sits at the corner of Cedar Street and West Pennsylvania Avenue.

I love our day trips to nowhere to see what we will find.
