I Recently Learned About Mirror Coincidence And It’s Unbelievable

I See So Many Of Them Now

Well, this is the beauty of this platform. We have numerous amazing writers and each one has so much to say, multiple interesting things to share!

My friend and mentor Marcus recently directed me to an article that talked about MIRROR COINCIDENCE! You can look over it here:

In this article, Marcus has explained the term like this:

In a mirror coincidence, the coincidental events – often in dramatic fashion – reflect or mirror a current dominant concern of the psyche (the conscious and unconscious mind)….

He further explains synchronicity and coincidence by quoting another writer’s work:

Jung made an important statement about synchronicity….He said ‘Synchronicity designates the parallelism of time and meaning between psychic and psychophysical events.’ …By psychic event, Jung means one that occurs in the psyche, which is the totality of the psychological self, consisting of the conscious mind and the very vast, sometimes turbulent reservoir of the unconscious. The physical events of a coincidence are identified as being not merely physical but psychophysical; in other words, meaningfully related to the psyche or psychological self.

It all started when I wrote one article about my aunt’s soul speaking to us through my grandmother’s body.

In this article, he left a comment with the above link. He later explained to me how to mirror coincidence worked in my case.

It was about some life situations which I’ll leave for now.

However, after being introduced to it, I am able to identify so many of them on regular basis.

I don’t know if these incidents really fall into mirror coincidence or not, but they are surprising to me.

I’m going to discuss a few memories from my childhood which I think were mirror coincidences.

#1

It was one day before Diwali (the festival of lights). It’s a tradition to buy something on that day. It can be anything varying from kitchen goods to gold. People, depending on their financial status buy something they need.

I was in school that day. All my friends were discussing what their parents bought for that ritual. I was hiding because I did not know what my mother bought.

However, I could not hide for long. My turn came after a few minutes. I did not know what to say. After thinking a while about something fascinating I said,

“My mother bought a spoon stand. It’s very beautiful and it has all types of knives, forks, and spoons.”

To my surprise, when I came home, my mother had actually bought one. I was amazed and very happy that I did not lie to my friends.

#2

It was a hot summer day. We used to drink a special kind of drink in summer when we were kids.

My mom came home from work and I said, “Mummy do you remember that drink we used to drink a few years ago? I am feeling like drinking it now. I don’t know if these are still available in the market or not.”

My mom replied,

“ I am very tired. Can you please wash my lunch box which is in the bag and then give me a glass of cold water?”

I was upset that my mom just ignored what I said. I was at least expecting a reply. Anyhow, I went to take the lunch box out of her bag, and I jumped with joy opening her bag.

Coincidentally, she had already bought that drink while coming back from work. I saw her smiling at me.

#3

It was an ordinary day. I was getting ready for the office when my mother called. It was strange because she never called me in the morning, as she also had to go to work.

I thought it must be important, so I picked up the call in haste. She sounded very upset and asked me if I was alright. I said,

“Yes mom, I am completely okay.”

She said,

“I was offering prayer and suddenly I felt like you are in trouble. I got so disturbed. That’s why I called you. Please, don’t go to the office today.”

I made fun of her and said, “Mom, please stop watching movies so much. I have an important day at work today. I must go.”

She said, “Okay, go in the office cab. Don’t take your Scooty today.”

I said, “Mom, you are a little late to say this. We must inform them one day earlier if we want to take the office cab. Don’t worry. I’ll be careful.”

I hung up the phone and forgot about it. I thought it was pure superstition. I was still careful on the road, watched all the signals, and crossed the road with care. I entered the office campus main gate and thought, “See, nothing happened. Mom was simply scared.”

With this thought, I turned to my office’s parking area, and there was oil all over the road on the turning. Before I could realize anything, my Scooty slipped and I fell down.

Luckily, it was a minor accident, and I was only slightly injured. My mom doesn’t know this to date. Because if I had told her, she would never have allowed me to ride Scooty again in my life.

I am sure I’m not alone in this. Many of you might also have experienced such things.

Do you also remember any such incident?

If yes, I invite you to share it with us.

Tagging a few of my medium friends from would love to hear about any such incident from their experience.
