I Received A Short Message From My Inner Being, and I Trusted It

It worked

When I am not satisfied with my life, I sometimes hope to receive a message from the universe that could give me clear directions on what to do to fulfill my goals. A voice that could show my way before I find it.

It has never happened, I am afraid it might seem too easy.

Yet I had a special experience a few weeks before I had my university degree. I was feeling frustrated since I couldn’t finish my thesis and I couldn’t find the energy and enthusiasm I needed, as a working student, to study in the evening. I was tired and I blamed myself for being late.

One evening, I was so disappointed and unable to perform any task, that I decided to have a nap. It was my way of giving up. I immediately fell asleep and I had a very short dream: I heard a voice saying “You will graduate at the end of November.” It was October and it was impossible for me to succeed in a few weeks.

However, when I woke up I had new energy and I was convinced that the voice was telling me the truth. I trusted the message. It was as if I knew I finally had my answer.

On November 24th I graduated.

I was so anxious that I got on a very early train, avoiding the following delays that forced the other students to cancel their sessions. That morning I was the only student graduating in my department.

I didn’t ask for a photographer so there were no pictures of my graduation. Besides, I had forgotten my glasses at home so I have a few unclear memories. My family arrived later because of the delays with public transportation.

I was completely alone, guided by my inner being.

After the session was completed I was not even sure if it was real or not, and I had to wait until I received the certificate at home to make sure I had actually graduated.

I followed a voice, and despite many inconveniences, I made it. The voice was right!
