I Realized This When I Speak In the Second Person To Me. Trust Me It is Not Weird

When You Do That Compassion and Intrinsic Motivation Flows Through You

A Collage Screenshot Of Author Lalitha Brahma’s Podcast Page, Article in Medium, and Youtube Video Shorts

A few days back, a burning simple desire from my inner Productivity Queen ( LOL) made me ask the following question:

“Lalitha, You have been hosting Solo Podcast for over two years. You have written in Medium Publications for over a year and a half. You have fed your new desire by doing three Youtube Video Shorts. Now find a way to integrate all these.”

I guess doing my affirmations and conscious empowering and responsible Self-Talk is helping me ask these questions. As you can see, in the above words, I am unconsciously acknowledging my achievements with compassion and gratitude ( by talking in the second person-You), and at the same time just as a parent who encourages her child to go to the next level, suggesting a new idea, I am inspiring myself to take up a new project.

Two things have happened here…

I don’t have external pressure to do a certain way OR am I seeking any approval from an authority figure?

I feed my intrinsic motivation, compassionately to take responsible action steps with faith, fun, and a creative mindset. This is way different from extrinsic motivation which comes from outside

What happened?

Today being the weekend, after I nourished my body with 40 minutes of a beautifully and brilliantly structured Home workout program by Heather Robertson, I got the strongest desire to start this new project:

I use the anchor app on my phone to create my Podcast Episodes. I use my Laptop to write and publish on Medium.com. I use Canva and Youtube Applications to create Youtube Shorts.

Now You can imagine my thoughts….Yes, You got it right.

Youtube Short OR Article OR Podcast Episode… Which one should I begin?

This is what I did

I used my cell phone to watch Heather Robertsons’ video and work out. As soon as I was done I was enthusiastic to share my workout experience. I said to myself, as Youtube Shorts duration is under a minute, what three questions come up to me right now that I can answer in one minute and impact my audience? I opened my cell phone’s Note pad application and wrote three questions and answers quickly. Then I created the video in the canvas app and uploaded the MP4 video to Youtube.

3. You are reading the article.

I am super happy to share my entire experience with you. I hope I am inspiring you in one of these ways so that you can take one ACTION STEP and run with it:

Be compassionate to yourself and be conscious of your self-talk

When you get inspired by a new idea, be bold to try new things, embracing your Core values.

You can too create your Podcast or articles or videos.

Thanks to Dr. Gabriella Korosi, Sahil Patel, and Mary Chang Story Writer) for the following Publication, their Editors, and writers for helping me learn more and become better and better:

I am tagging two writers from each of these Publications for their valuable contributions. Lisa Precious / Smiley Blue and Divya Goswami. Heaven's Healthy Healing and Madison Chaney and NancyO and Sandi Parsons
