What is the one absolute key to happiness?

The longer I’m alive, the more I’m realizing there is none — because it’s not locked away.

More and more, because of the epidemic of stress plaguing us as a species, humanity is being told about this thing called the present moment.

Whether it’s from drug-store self-help books, spiritual traditions, psychology, or even quantum physics, learning to be a better, happier human starts with learning about the power of the present moment.

Even cartoon characters from movies like Kung Fu Panda are getting in on the action:

“You are too concerned with what was and what will be. There is a saying: Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.”

But why the present moment?

Firstly, besides the obvious that our minds can be chaotic — having more than 6,000 thoughts in a single day with no kill switch to make it shut the f@*! up

More importantly, though, our minds excel at dwelling on the past and obsessing about the future which is where our stress and anxiety hang out.

Whereas, our joy and fulfillment only live in one place and at one time which is the present moment.
