Hello, I would say, Medium is probably one of the most complex social media I ever used — yes I call it social media, despite having thousands of followers, it’s still challenging to get 500 or 1k views on a daily basis with or without publication.

Alright, maybe it’s not your case but at least accept that you still struggle with your article reads and claps, because if Medium says 90% of writers make less than $100 a month, that means you are struggling with views, reads, and claps — right? I’m not here to hurt your feelings but to speak facts. So, I wanted to try how I can make it to 1k views a day — no boosting, a milestone that I never achieved since I’m writing here for the past three months.
Well, let me tell you that I did it! I reached 1.2k views in one day with no boosting — amazing right? So how did I do it? Straight to the point, I read articles and a lot of articles. I know the power of engaging in others' works on this platform as it is more than a community rather than a social media, you need to give before receiving.
I can’t tell how many articles I read, but I know there were a lot of articles, probably 100+ as it took me 12 hours to read them all.
Did I make money doing that? Well, I just checked my partner program's latest update, and I made $10 that day — not too bad.
Will I do it again? why not, but is really time-consuming, I will better rely on publication and promoting what I always do.
