I quit Speedwrite — Here’s why
Speedwrite is an auto text generator. You type a prompt into the software and it’ll rewrite it for you, like an article rewriter.
I’ve tried so many article rewriters and I can honestly say, Speedwrite is the best.
Here’s an example…

I wrote:
I love Starbucks coffee. When I drive into the coffee shop every morning, I love getting a hazelnut latte. Sometimes I splurge and get a chocolate croissant, too.
And, Speedwrite rewrote it to:
I love Starbucks coffee. Whenever I go in, I love to get a hazelnut latte and a chocolate croissant. Sometimes I also indulge in a chocolate croissant.
It does better with longer-form text (a few sentences to a paragraph long).
How does Speedwrite work?
You type text prompts on the left and click Predict. Then, it rewrites it on the right.

Why do you need article rewriting?
The reason why rewriting intrigued me was for the opportunity to quickly write multiple versions of the same kind of content to rank for more keywords.
That was my thinking.
So, I was going to paste an article of mine into Speedwrite and rewrite it to create a new article.
Why I quit Speedwrite?
I don’t think it’s as efficient as other tools.
It rewrites chunks of text at a time so, paragraph by paragraph, essentially.
Think about how many paragraphs are in a 2,000+ word article.
A lot, right.
It took a lot of time to go paragraph by paragraph to rewrite the entire article.
A solution might have been to lump the text into larger paragraphs or maybe one long document and break it up during the editing process but, to be honest, the time investment was longer than if I just rewrote it myself, right into Wordpress.
I paid for six months up front so I still have some time left on the plan.
I might play with it a bit more and see if I discover anything new. I haven’t done research to see if other people are using Speedwrite. I’ll probably do that as well and check out YouTube to see tips and tricks I can try with the software.
Overall, I think Jasper is better.
It’s not the same kind of tool.
Jasper is an AI writer so you feed it prompts and it creates text. But, with Jasper, I can write content lightning fast and I really like it. I’ve read that other writers use Jasper to write 50,000 words a month or something crazy like that. So, I’ll continue sticking with Jasper.
What do you think about article rewriters? Have you used one?
I hope you enjoyed reading this. If you’d like to support me as a writer, consider signing up to become a Medium member. It’s just $5 a month and you get unlimited access to Medium.
