It’s a happy anniversary.

The headline says it all.

Since I started writing on Medium a little over two months ago, I jumped into the waters, not knowing what to do. Except for one thing.

Write!

During that time, I’ve written on a wide variety of topics, like writing, books, life, college, Medium itself and so much more. Because of this, I’ve gained a slew of wonderful followers, fans, and readers, and earned some good pocket change for myself.

Here’s what I’ve learned from published so many stories on Medium.

You Have to Write Every Day

Seriously. There’s no other way around it. If you’re not writing every day, and you want to grow as a writer, then what’re you doing? In order to succeed at writing, writing every day is essential for a wonderful career. By doing so, you’re growing stronger every day, producing more content, and discovering who you are as a writer.

The last one is a wonderful journey as well. Nevertheless, you must write every day if you want to succeed on Medium and publish 150 stories in less than three months. There’s no other way around it.

You Have to Stay Persistent

This is a big lesson too. If you don’t stay persistent with your writing, then again, what’re you doing? You must stay persistent every day. That means showing up no matter, producing words, and improving your writing every day. There are days when I don’t want to write. There are days when I just want to crawl back into bed. But I don’t.

I stay persistent. Because of this, I’ve grown my fan base, became a better writer, and now published 150 articles in a little over two months. It can happen to you too if you stay persistent.

Closing Thoughts

Writing on Medium has been quite the journey. And the journey continues. I didn’t think I would write 150 articles in such little time, but I did. These two lessons above helped me achieve that feat. And I couldn’t more grateful for the fans and readers who have followed my writing and have come along on this journey with me.

Writing is my passion. And I’m not going to give it up anytime soon. Cheers to 150 more articles!

Onward.
