I Published My Story outside the Paywall, and This Happened

Not everything in life is money, and connections matter too.

Paying it Forward, Namaste!

On the last day of the month, I did the unthinkable. Actually, it isn’t, as everything happens for a reason.

As a way of paying it forward, I published a free blog post for all the great things happening in my life as a writer.

How I make money online as a writer is when I publish stories within the paywall system, but money has never been the primary reason why I started writing in the first place. It was more than that, but I also changed my relationship with money, and it is working, and it starts with this simple money technique which again I’m sharing for free.

Arigato In, Arigato Out.

As money flows in, I say thank you. As money flows out, I say thank you.

Today, I decided to write about the Medium Partner Program. This is where I earn money, of which I am very grateful. The biggest surprise was in April 2021 when I was one of the top 1,000 writers who received the $500 bonus money. It was like I won the golden ticket to Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory.

Why Tell Everyone How I Earn Money Online

Again, coming from the mindset of abundance, what I get from the Partner Program will not be less because I am sharing what I know. Still, I believe from hereon. My earnings will keep on multiplying.

My goal is to become one of its top earners. I want to be a successful writer in both readership and the financial freedom that comes with success.

After writing the story, I hit the publish button. I ticked off the Meter my story, so it is eligible to earn money.” tab.

I send the story to my subscribers. And as soon as I hit publish, I received the email with the story in its entirety. I don’t have to click anything. I can read it from my email.

Eureka!, Light Bulb Moment!

What does it mean?

I am a starting writer. Not a lot of people know I even write. Only some of my family and select friends know about this gig I do online.

Now that this blog post isn’t behind the paywall, I can share it on my social media accounts without fear. I don’t want any of my stories to be the 1 out of 3 free stories my friends would read here.

By giving it for free, it also free me.

I can already see the endless possibilities of why publishing stories outside the paywall regularly can help me achieve bigger goals.

And I will update you when that happens.

One of the things I can see happening is that I can send this to all the people on my email list, which I have long before joining the Medium Partner Program, most of whom are family and friends.

Hopefully, I can inspire just one person to write and earn their living by doing so.

I wish you well to anyone struggling in their writing journey, and may the writing gods be on our side, Namaste!
