I need writing jobs now!— Here’s where I find them

7 Places for Paid Writing Jobs

If you’re a writer like me, you know finding paid writing work can be a real struggle sometimes.

Recently, I lost a $1,500/month writing client.

To replace this income stream, I turn to these 5+ places to find writing jobs.

5+ Websites That Pay You to Write

Here are some of my favorite places to find writing jobs…

1. Starter Story

Starter Story is a collection of entrepreneur and startup founder stories. These are interviews from a bunch of different businesses from freelancers to bloggers, subscription companies and more.

Read their interviews to learn how they started, fundraising ideas, how much they make, and best of all, hiring opportunities.

This is what helped me make nearly $30K from Starter Story so far!

At the end of the interview, the founder is asked about hiring opportunities. This is where you can contact them (if they are hiring) to pitch yourself for a writing job!

This is a paid subscription, by the way but, I think it’s totally worth it. It has definitely paid off for me!

2. Problogger Jobs

Problogger

Their free job board for writing jobs is one of my favorites online.

Super easy to browse through and clear instructions for the jobs available and how to apply.

3. WeWorkRemotely

We Work Remotely

This is a remote-only job board.

Surprisingly, they have some pretty good writing jobs that pop up on here, from time to time.

This is one of my favorite remote job search sites.

If you’re looking for staff writing jobs, this is a job board I’d recommend checking out.

It’s free to use, and opportunities are updated daily.

4. Twitter (X)

“Writing Twitter” is pretty amazing. Search “writing” or “writing jobs” or similar terms to find some sites to search and Twitter profiles to follow that post writing opportunities.

See:

Twitter

5. Contena

I’ve used Contena in the past and I really liked them. This is a paid service, by the way but, the writing jobs are really high quality.

I’d say the investment is worth it.

Contena

6. TikTok

I haven’t talked about TikTok yet as a source for finding writing jobs. It’s really easy to do..

  1. Go to TikTok
  2. Search “writing jobs”
  3. Browse the videos to find opportunities of interest

I searched just now and found writing opportunities on sites like…

  • Writers Work
  • Fiverr
  • Tutorials Point
  • Neptune AI ($300 to $600)
  • Sitepoint
  • LogRocket (up to $350)

7. Newsbreak

Newsbreak’s Contributor Network has a Medium Partner Program feel to it. Join as a writer, meet the minimum requirements and get monetized, once you qualify.

Creators are making mortgage-sized monthly payments from this writing program.

I’ve been a writer there for about 2 years and have amassed over 40,000 followers since then, writing pretty regularly every month.

What do you think?

Lastly, some bonus sources for you to check out. When in doubt, ask AI!
