ILLUMINATION WRITING CHALLENGE
I Manifested A Cat
Learning to pay attention to the clues

A thousand years ago I crawled out of a decrepit life with nothing in my hands except a notion of the self I no longer was
A thousand years ago I decided to leave everything behind because all that I thought my life was, was actually nothing at all: vapid, empty
A thousand years ago I began a journey, to find me, myself and I And a long road have I walked since then Building from nothing, a twig at a time
Painstakingly, carefully, Learning to love me
Until I finally felt an ending come up on me, many little clues hidden in silly everyday life.
And so I moved. And I manifested a cat. And life has gone from one to two.
Please welcome Shona. In Bengali, Shona means ‘the golden one’.
This is in response to Timothy Key’s prompt that tagged me: ‘Something Strange Happened’. Strange and wonderful things have been happening for a long time, but it is only in recent times that I’ve learned to pay attention to the clues the universe has been throwing at me.
Some pictures below of my new neighborhood.
Thank you, universe.
Thank you for Shona. Thank you for Illumination. Thank you.
