I made $0.01 on Day 1 — Here is what I have Learned

Yesterday, I embarked on the journey to write and post on Medium every day. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the next day, I had earned $0.01.

Of course, $0.01 may seem insignificant, and it certainly won’t buy the Ferrari I’ve envisioned on my dream board! But that mere penny holds much more significance.

It signifies that someone took notice of my post, read it in its entirety, and even applauded it. It indicates that I’m contributing to a platform that genuinely values good writing and engaged readership. I now realize that I’ve become a part of a community dedicated to growth and sharing through the power of words.

In return, I aim to contribute to this community by reading more, sharing my thoughts, and giving the maximum of 50 claps.

Writers deserve recognition, appreciation, and perhaps even a few cents. We pour our lives, love, and experiences onto the page for the world to see, critique, and empathize with. We deserve acknowledgement.

As I stood in line at the cinema yesterday, pondering my statistics, I suddenly chuckled to myself, realizing that it was only Day 1!

I eagerly anticipate today, tomorrow, and the next 365 days, curious about what they hold in store for me.

I realised that I am embarking on the path to riches, but the path to creating. That is all I can ask for.
