I love this quote

“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.”

The quote is from theologian Howard Thurman. His words ring true today more than ever before. Harness your inner light and create your own magic.

The world needs us to show up with our unique gifts and talents to create meaningful change in the world. When we listen to our inner compass and follow its guidance, we discover what excites us and brings us joy. It is this joy that connects us all (even limbically).

When we live authentically from a place of joy and enthusiasm for life, we become a beacon of light for others who are walking their own path of transformation.

Why You Should Follow Your Soul’s Calling

In our ever-changing world, it can be difficult to find our purpose and make a real difference. But the secret sauce here is that the answers are within.

All your answers to all your questions — are within. Read that again.

Within each of us, there is an incredible spark of magic that cannot be tamed and can never die. The key to unlocking our potential is learning to listen to this voice, listen to that calling, and then do what makes us happy.

It may be a career or business — but it doesn’t have to be.

When we hear “calling” we might tend to think of occupations. It might not necessarily be that. It could be a hobby (Medium writers, I see you). It could mean reconnecting with the people who feed and nourish you. It could mean being of service to someone else. Any little whisper that bubbles up from your Soul is speaking to you for a reason.

Listen up.

Also — when it comes to an online presence, internet marketing, or entrepreneurship, I feel this topic is more pressing than ever. We’re all sick of the hyper-curated, refined-to-death, ultra-glossed fake-ism of the online-matrix-verse.

Here’s the thing — it lacks soul.

In a sea of same-sames — dare to stand out. It is your unique voice, your unique lived experience, and your unique story that makes you compelling!

Stop worrying about being perfect.

Stop worrying about your hair, makeup, or outfit before you press record, or publish.

Just show up as your authentically imperfect self.

In honoring your creative expression, your unique voice, and your unique trajectory — you will become an inspiring force in this world that will bring positive change wherever you go. Your light radiates. Your energy radiates. The happiness ripples radiate.

The importance of following your soul’s calling cannot be overstated.

DO WHAT LIGHTS YOU UP. Period.

Follow your bliss. Connecting within is perhaps the most important journey any of us can take as individuals on this planet — the journey toward discovering who you truly are and why you are here on earth.

When you discover your inner truth — what resonates with your soul — deeply — you will never be the same. And you will open up a whole new realm of possibilities for yourself and those around you.

By following your soul’s calling — listening — and following your inner guidance (taking action instead of sitting on it), you will unlock your potential.

Unlocking your potential means unlocking infinite possibilities. It gets juicy. It gets trippy. It gets inspired. The magic starts to flow freely from a source of limitless abundance.

When we take time to connect with ourselves on a deeper level, we learn that life is meant to be lived fully with passion and curiosity.

We learn how fulfilling it can be when we focus on creating something out of nothing — something special that only comes from deep within ourselves.

We also learn how important it is for each of us to honor our most potent soul-desires instead of stifling them or hiding them away out of fear, shame, or false beliefs of not-enoughness.

Living in this kind of alignment allows us to express our true selves in all aspects of life — and in turn, inspire others around us to do the same (what an incredible gift!).

At its core, living an inspired life means having the courage to follow your heart even when it feels scary or uncertain.

It means taking risks, making mistakes, learning from them, and growing along the way — all while staying connected with your authentic self throughout the process.

It is not always easy, but it is worth it.
