I love Summer
A Poem Written by Vivian Ennis 08/12/2019 Inspired by Lucy King
I love summer’s… Fresh warm breeze warming my skin as It blows around warmed by the sun’s rays I love the warm summer nights sitting on the porch after all the hot fun summer days
Summer’s… Heat makes it warm enough to dip my body in the pool the water warmed from the sun to the perfect degrees I love floating around the pool feeling the warmth of the summer breeze
Summer… Brings back childhood memories of a time when the world seemed to be a simpler place A time when my family gathered to have fun together and the memory of my mother’s loving face
I love summer… Walks along the beach barefoot in the sand the only thing that is missing is there is no one to hold my hand
Summer’s… Daylight saving time is the best staying lighter later outside makes the days seems longer I feel the summertime’s longer days makes me feel stronger
I love summer… It’s the best time of the year longer days shorter nights, warmer sun, warmer nights walks along a sandy beach barefoot with sand upon my feet Thoughts of a simpler time and place Memories that can never be erased Warm water in my swimming pool the breeze to help my warm body to cool I may not have a hand on the beach to hold but a love for summer I can behold While sitting on the porch late in the evening heat summertime to me is still so very neat
