I Know You
A poem

I could tell apart a piece of your writing Among thousand serpents writhing I could recognize your voice As it breaks when you think you have no choice If you looked into the flames You would see there are no chains
What we shared is my eternal treasure Between us there was never any pressure As I am writing these lines Pain fills our world of lies There were aspects of me you couldn’t reach I needed you to understand, not preach
I know you so well that I can tell This pain is yours too hiding inside the cigarette smell I will reach out again if you cannot You don’t know where I am so it’s the only chance you got We’ll see that we’re different yet still the same And we’ll lament together about what this world became
