I knew Him but Where had we met?
Have you ever felt a strong connection to someone
Recap: Ming’s parents search for his soul and brought him back to life.
I dead or alive? I don’t have a body, so there is obviously no pulse and I’m not breathing either. I appear to be more dead than alive. If so, where is my dead body?
Could my body be alive but in a coma, like Ming’s?
I must find my body. Even if the odds were stacked against me, I was not going to give up.
I wiped away my tears and exited the bar quickly. The folding doors led to a beach filled with soft white sand, and connected to the beach was a stunningly beautiful sea with a multitude of blue, turquoise, and green hues. It was gorgeous, but I had no mood to enjoy it.
I raced forward, unsure of where I was going but taking the first available path. In the distance, a tall, slim man appeared. I couldn’t see his face, but I felt like I knew him. Drawn to him like a magnet, I started walking towards him.
He had extraordinarily light skin that was too pale for a man, yet it matched his sleek, golden hair nicely. He wore a beige cotton blouse, a matching loose pair of shorts, and light sandals. As he walked, he would casually turn his head to gaze at the ocean.
As we got closer, I could see his features clearly, and I felt a stronger connection with him. I must have seen him before, but where? I stared at him as I dug through my memories, but I couldn’t recall anything.
The man turned and smiled at me as he passed by. I was embarrassed by my constant staring at him and shied away.
Wait! Did he smile at me? Is that to say he saw me? Someone could see me!
I turned around immediately and called the man from behind, “Hey!”
The man, however, carried on walking, as if he had not heard me.
“Helllloo…?” I said that and started running after the man.
The man kept going without even pausing for a second.
I ran as fast as I could, but he was always a few feet away. My anxiety rose once more, and I started to doubt myself. Did he really smile at me? Or am I imagining things?
At the bar’s entrance, the man stopped and turned around.
I stopped running and looked straight at him. I tried to speak, to ask if he could see me, but I could not get anything out. My lips stayed tightly closed.
For a brief period, the man’s expression was bewildered. He then waved at me and flashed his gorgeous smile once more before he walked into the bar.
“He can see me!” I was overjoyed.
