I Just Started Writing on Simily

Here’s why you should consider it as well…

At this point, it feels like writing online continues to get more interested as more and more online writing platforms come to fruition. First, it was Quora, then Medium, Vocal Media, and Newsbreak. Now it’s Simily! I tried Medium, Vocal Media, and Newsbreak! Now it’s time for Simily!

I started writing on Simily due to how small and up-and-coming the platform is. When you have up-and-coming platforms that are receiving good amounts of attention, in my opinion, it’s a good idea to just try it out! Who knows? Maybe you’ll get lucky and establish yourself as one of the top writers on the new platform!

Why You Might Consider Simily as Well

For me, what made it super easy in starting on Medium was the fact that you can repurpose and republish articles from other platforms such as Medium! So why not just give it a try if you can just copy, paste, make a few formatting changes and let the article have a second performance or chance to perform!

Simily also pays decently… I still like Medium more, but Simily for now has a very strict and standardized payout system. What makes it better than Medium and similar to Vocal is the fact that Simily pays for internal and external views! This could allow you to advertise or bring traffic to your own Simily articles for pay!

In terms of the payout system, it is standardized, as seen below. However, they do say that they will be changing this…

For every 1,000 views, writers are paid $20

For every 10,000 views, writers are paid $200

For every 100,000 views, writers are paid $2,000

“Once we have enough paying readers to sustainably compensate the published authors on Simily, we will switch to a revenue sharing model wherein a percentage of all paid subscription costs are shared back with authors as royalty payments. In this model, the more paying readers who view your stories, the more you get paid. This way, we are able to get the best stories in front of readers and vice versa.” Simily.co(https://simily.co/how-it-works/)

Simily still has a long way to go in its development, and the site itself is still being developed each day with glitches and hiccups here and there. However, if you have the time and ability to write on Simily, I recommend it because why not? You can repurpose/republish, and earn decently! You also have the chance of establishing yourself as a big writer on the platform!
