I in the Land of Life Waded in Rivers of Desires
Our desires make us dare or despair — only the choices are ours
I landed in the lands of life, it was new, They made me cry and breathe. My mind was tangled with the mystery of the lands.
All I saw fascinated me. I had few aspirations in the new life.
There were green pastures, mountains with snow caps they became my purpose to climb as my stream of desire flowed from there.
I learned about desires from others who taught me that desires were the most fascinating part of a human’s life and were made in the rivers of imagination.
My fascination created the rivers of desires in my mind. They had many colors and types. Slowly there became too many.
Some fed me and others. Yet some got flooded and made life difficult to wade through, I knew it was all in my mind, yet, I could not make up my mind to pass.
Desires promote our dares and also our despairs, they both pull in opposite directions that can make us lose our way, yet we have the right to choose.
Thank you, dear reader, and thanks to Denise Larkin for bringing it to you.
