I Hope the Republicans Prosecute Democrats if They Win the Midterms
The DNC seems dead set on snatching defeat from the jaws of victory
At what point are Democrats going to wake up and realize our democracy is at stake? At what point do they start acting with a little bit of urgency?
It’s been infuriating to watch the response to the January 6th attack. It’s as if those tasked with enforcing the law in our country are completely indifferent to the idea of a treasonous coup.
Every now and then somebody loses it and screams and yells about how Trump is apparently the leader of an extensive crime family, but then that person is quickly shuttled away from public view. People who say such things represent the voice of reason, yet they are immediately shunned and silenced.
Meanwhile, Trump and his cronies keep issuing threats about how, if they win the midterms, they will “go after” anyone who has dared to investigate them. The people who currently occupy the seats of power need to listen to these threats! This isn’t idle talk.
It’s treasonous talk!
It’s lawless talk!
Once again Trump is putting in motion a plan to overthrow the government. Meanwhile feckless democrats are yawning and taking the moderate philosophy that “they shouldn’t move too fast.”
I don’t want Trump to get back in power. I’m fairly certain that will mean the end of democracy in the United States. But if Trump does get back in power, I hope he at least follows through on putting the idiot Democrats who failed to stop him in jail. It will be the fate they deserve.
Coup in plain sight
For some reason, Trump is free to run around the country on a treason tour of COVID super spreader rallies.
Why?
Shouldn’t he be too occupied testifying before congress about his role in one of the darkest days in American history?
Apparently not.
Instead, Trump is free to make threats and incite hatred in front of large groups throughout the nation.
Speaking at a rally in Texas, former President Donald Trump said Republicans would investigate President Joe Biden for corruption if they retake Congress in the midterm elections.

We all know that Trump is allowed to make accusations like this without any evidence whatsoever.
It’s comical that the GOP would denounce Trump’s impeachments as “political theater” even as they vow to do the same to their Democratic rivals.
Actually, it’s more than just hypocrisy because the Democratic impeachments of Trump actually were based on criminal behavior. Any action taken against Biden will be on Trumped up, phantom charges.
Idiot Democrats are sitting in their ivory tower secure in the misguided belief that they will be protected by the fact that they are innocent.
Don’t you fools get it yet?
Innocence will offer NO protection in Trump’s America! They’ll arrest the people they don’t like. They’ll arrest them because of skin color. They’ll arrest them because of religious affiliation. They’ll arrest them because of sexual orientation. And they’ll arrest them because of their political preference.
If the Republicans win in the midterms, THEY’RE COMING FOR YOU! That’s why it’s so important to get off your butts and hold the criminals responsible while you have the chance.
Other prominent Republicans are making threats
Newt Gingrich, who is somehow relevant again as inexplicable as that may seem, has also been vocal about trumping up charges to go after the January 6th committee.
“You’re going to have a Republican majority in the House and a Republican majority in the Senate. And all of these people who have been so tough and so mean and so nasty are going to be delivered subpoenas,” Gingrich said, adding the lawmakers heading up the commission are “just running over the law.”
“And I think when you have a Republican Congress, this is all going to come crashing down,” he continued. “And the wolves are going to find out they are now sheep and they’re the ones who are going to face a real risk of, I think, jail for the kind of laws they’re breaking.” — The Hill
Again, this represents a powerful person using his platform to issue threats against a legitimate government committee. Why is this something that our nation tolerates?
He’s laying out exactly what they’re going to do. The only response that the Democrats have at this point is to take advantage of their power and hurry to hold people accountable who have been found guilty of crimes.
Do it!
That they’re too cowardly to do so is only going to end in the destruction of our nation. For the life of me, I can’t understand this.
They know the consequences of inaction, yet they seem to be steadfastly committed to that disastrous choice.
Make Trump testify!
Every day there seems to be a new story about private citizens defying subpoenas.
Excuse me? Since when is that a thing?
You don’t get to just say, “No,” when the government comes knocking on your door. That’s what the marines are for. Send the marines. Grab these lawless traitors by the hair and drag them to jail.
That’s what the government would do to us if we “got out of line.” You can go on YouTube and find a hundred examples right now. Why are these lawless anti-democracy monsters allowed to get away with this behavior?
The most pathetic thing in the world is when they whine about how it’s impossible to get Trump to tell the truth.
[Democratic Congresswoman Zoe] Lofgren said that one reason the committee hasn’t called on Trump for an interview is because, in her mind, he can’t be trusted to tell the truth. A report from January of last year stated that Trump told roughly 30,000 “mistruths” during his four years in office.
“The former president has a voracity problem that is well known,” Lofgren said. “You know, there used to be ‘How many falsehoods does he say in any one sentence?’ So I think there has to be a weighing of how valuable the evidence, or testimony, would actually be.” — Stephen Proctor
That Trump is almost guaranteed to lie is exactly why you bring him in to testify under oath. They got Al Capone for tax evasion, get Donald Trump for perjury.
That’s a crime! The guy is not a criminal genius. He’s an entitled rich playboy who is accustomed to committing crimes in plain sight. Make him testify, allow him to perjure himself. Add that to the list of charges against him.

5 years! Perfect! Put Trump in jail for 5 years. Once that’s out of the way you can drag your feet on some of the other charges. The point is, quit allowing lawless people to commit criminal acts out in the open where they can only embolden even more people to become lawless.
If the Democrats blow this, they deserve to go to jail
In 2020, the American people rose up and defeated the armies of darkness. We defeated them with our vote. We handed the Democrats everything they needed to ensure the threat against our democracy would not be allowed to endure.
Since then the Democrats have shown a steadfast commitment to doing everything they can to restore Trump to power.
The investigation is going way too slow. Everybody knows how the political cycle in the United States works. The Republicans get power again after every decisive defeat. The main difference between the Republicans and the Democrats is that the Democrats do nothing when they have power and the Republicans diligently labor to destroy our freedoms.
Something has to change! It can either change now while the Democrats have power and they are holding a smoking gun that was used in a crime committed by their political rivals, or the change can happen after the midterms when the Republicans will fabricate a means of putting Democratic fingerprints on the evidence the Democrats have gathered.
This isn’t rocket science. This is the end of days.
Why must Democrats insist on snatching defeat from the jaws of victory? If Republicans win in 2022, I hope they do follow through on throwing their political rivals in jail. Who will win in the ultimate showdown between lawlessness and steadfast hubris? We’re about to find out.
Some politicians deserve to go to jail over the events of January 6th. If it turns out to be Democrats, it will be because their failure to hold the true villains accountable made them complicit, and they will deserve their fate.
But wouldn’t it be nice to see the truly guilty parties get punished in America for a change?
