I Have One Medium-Sized Word for 2022

What’s Yours?

What Matters the Most?

Finding one word to represent an entire year of living consciously seemed to be a stretch until I gave the idea a chance to breathe. It just popped out onto the page so here goes.

I’m only six months into my reading and writing adventure on Medium and what a blast it continues to be!

The ups of that experience are meeting authentic people who intimately share their thoughts, ideas, emotions, healings, and inspirations.

The downs of this experience are very few and have reversed themselves in the past few days.

KTHT is back, meaning Diana C. is back! A hearty Hawaiian hug for Diana and a Big Kahuna thank you to Yana Bostongirl for carrying the torch on the Coffee Times Movement in-between times.

The few technical problems with my Medium Beta site have also been resolved by our smart and tireless Medium support team.

The Medium Experience

My word for 2022 is CONNECTION. Medium connects me to individuals and groups of readers, writers, and now editors. This connection is a conduit for learning, for growing, and for stretching my creative comfort zone far beyond just words on a page. It’s another level of heartfelt consciousness for what many of us value in this life and express it!

A Wealth of Villages

Each Medium publication has its character and contributors making my journey ever-expanding with new people connections in each of their communities of readers and writers. It’s like being welcomed by a series of villages in a vast array of cultures. One could feast on this experience without reservation if only time and other chores didn’t compete for attention. And the best part of the connection is it’s ALIVE and constantly changing. We are an element of that change with our participation! It’s hard to imagine a day without a Medium Connection!

A Band in Every Village

And the music never stops playing for an ever-expanding global audience! Connecting to each band’s music is like dancing with new ideas, perspectives, stories, and genres. Medium is a virtual reality consisting of human beings transversing a shifting multidimensional global landscape. No matter where one begins their adventure on Medium you’re guaranteed to find fresh paint.

And the Connection is Just the Beginning

My Medium goal for 2022 is completing at least six daily connections: four reads, one hour of writing (minimum), and one hour of editing with Katie Michaelson and her team at the happy short-form publication: The Daily Cuppa!

A belated Happy and Healthy New Year to all!

And Big Island mahalo to Ali Hall for prompting this writing with her article:
