I Have Not Known
A Poem
I have not known, What the first snow, Looks like, Or feels like.
I have not known, What the first ray, Of Sun can do to, My slumbering skin.
I have not known, The taste of, The first rain, That comes onto Earth.
I have not known, The warmth inside, The cold breeze, That blows every evening.
I have not known, The poignancy, Of the dewdrops, Falling every morning.
I have not known, Anything, Yet everything, Seems alive.
I have not known, Living like a lark, Breathing like, A life.
I have not known, Many things, And may not know, Them ever.
But that alright, As long as, I learn to breathe, And remember.
