I Have Failed To Write in December
It’s the most busy time of the year

Expectations and time
December comes with high expectations and never-ending to-do lists. Kids, cleaning, decorating, Christmas presents, working, tidying, baking, and so on. The countless preparations. Most of my chores are enjoyable. It’s just too much to do compared to the available hours.
I can’t find time for myself. Time to write, relax, drink wine, read, and watch a Christmas love movie.
“I can’t give you a sure-fire formula for success, but I can give you a formula for failure: try to please everybody all the time.” ― Herbert Bayard Swope
Prioritizing
Should I prioritize differently? Can I work less, do less? Who am I doing this for?
I suspect I am making precisely the mistake in the quote above, trying to please everybody all the time.
At the moment, I have no answer. I have to think about this over the Christmas holidays. It’s a big question, and I know I need some time to find clarity.
I guess you can see where I’m going with this?
Yes, I have to write myself a meaningful new year's resolution.
