WRITING
I Have Dipped My Toe Back Into The Unrelenting Disciple Of Writing Every Day
Now, if I can only forgive myself for ten consecutive days of being bad

“I love deadlines. I love the whooshing noise they make as they go by.” ― Douglas Adams, The Salmon of Doubt
I am feeling better as I start back writing after ten days. I always have a backlog of twenty or thirty-story ideas, so I’m choosing the ones which are agreeable to being short. Yes. I’m still complaining about myself. I’m mumbling to myself as I write this piece. I expect better of me. I’m perturbed at myself.
I am being careful not to write poorly. I’m not expecting to make any money off these shorties. Instead, I am climbing back onto the horse of enjoying my writing instead of stressing over not writing. Poking fun at me feels good.

On these last four days of the year, I have been breaking out a three-hour slice of the day to get back into writing daily. I still am in the holiday spirit with family and friends. I need to drive tomorrow and the next day. I am getting my writing train back on track. (Ha, you see what I did there?) Three hours is only enough time to compose, edit, quote, and image one quality short story. So, readers, forgive me and enjoy these thin slices of my simple life.
