I Gave Away The Secret to Faceless Video Content

No-face video content creation guide

It’s so easy anyone can do it.

This thought crosses many minds when someone mentions faceless video content. They’re right.

Everything seems easy as an observer. I’ve had this thought too. And I’ve also quit many side projects because they required tons of unforeseen work. Times are different.

Technology is a beast now. There are AIs as good as humans, plus free software is popping up every day to make our lives easier. If you’re thinking about making faceless video content, you’ve chosen the right time to start.

Yes, the market is more crowded than ever. But technology has your back. You can create content and schedule it for free. I won’t lie to you and say it will make you thousands. All I’ll tell you is how to pursue this hobby with ease. Here are two ways to make one faceless video in less than 30-minutes as a beginner.

One of the quickest formats in my book is animated text videos which I’ll refer to as motion quotes.

1. Motion Quotes via this app with underused potential

This app is so well-known you will roll your eyes. It’s Canva. But many aren’t using some of its best and newest features. Where to begin when creating your faceless video here?

Visit the Pexels video library and download any motion picture that catches your eye. Great choice! Upload the video to your Canva gallery. Here’s where people make their first mistake.

In Canva, you don’t have to stretch images or videos yourself. Let the tech do it for you.

  • Drag the video onto the canvas.
  • When a mini-box pop-ups under your mouse icon, let the video go.
  • If you don’t like the area of focus, double click and drag the video up or down. This action will adjust it to your liking.

Duplicate this canvas.

On the second slide, add a square or rounded square and dim the transparency to about 70 percent. Then, type your quote. For an extra wow factor, use the element choices to animate your text. And add music — to appeal to all the senses of your viewers.

There are two reasons human videos beat no-face, slow-motion videos. The first, limited amount of movement, and the second is no leadup to make viewers curious.

  • That’s why earlier you duplicated the first canvas page. This first slide is your cover image. If you can only select a cover image when posting, pick one that doesn’t reveal the full quote.
  • And that’s also why you animate the text. Animation adds more movement and encourages people to stick around to the end.

Motion Quotes via this free app

Many people don’t know about Jitter. It’s a website where you can make text-based videos. The free version has dashboard restrictions and only allows watermarked downloads. The paid option is $9 a month or $108 a year.

There are eight video templates, including tweets, phone notifications, and text messages. The other templates are customizable GIFs. It’s great because many people don’t know about it, and people will wonder how you made your videos move like that. I was one of those commentators who would ask, “Hey, where do you make your videos?”, don’t be like me.

Jitter is pretty straightforward. Choose your template, add your text and logo, change the animation style, export, and save. Then you’re done.

Of course, there are other ways to make faceless videos. But these styles need more effort.

  • You could make compilation videos via Canva. My internet could be the problem, but these downloads take forever for me.
  • Video listicles where you show your desktop screen for each item are a hefty time investment. If you choose this style, I’d recommend InShot for mobile and Loom for your PC creators.

If you’re looking for a simple way, start with motion quotes created with Canva or Jitter.
