I Found The King of Skincare
My incredible experience in Korea

There is no other way to put it. If you want the best of the best in skincare, visit Korea. Before I went to Korea, I knew they were skincare experts.
But how good were they? I wanted answers. So off we go to Korea!
The first time I went to Korea, I stayed in Myeongdong.
It’s a typical tourist area, with lively streets packed with enticing shops and restaurants. I was not disappointed.
As soon as I stepped out of my hotel, I was greeted with a buzzing flurry of activity.
The first shops I checked out were the skincare shops of course. I was mesmerized. There were entire streets lined with only skincare shops, as far as your eye can see.
I didn’t even know where to start!

I was in paradise. Serums, moisturizers, facial masks, toners — you name it, they have it. Actually they have it, even if you couldn’t name it.
There were cool products that I have never seen before. There were strange products I didn’t know how to use.
All in all, I simply bought all the jars and bottles that my happy little hands could carry.
I didn’t stop there. I had to try out a facial.
At first, I tried to get an appointment at my hotel’s spa. Stupid me didn’t book in advance, so I failed spectacularly at securing an appointment.
I wandered the streets of Myeongdong, intent on finding a place for a facial.
During my adventure, I saw signs in a small building about facials. Why not?
I made my way up some narrow stairs and found the place. It looked alright, not too shady. So, I booked an appointment.
I returned the next day, so eager to start. I recall a massage and a foot bath came along with the facial. Good thing I took photos to remind me of how everything looked.

I also remember one important thing. When I came out of that appointment, my skin was positively glowing.
I had no idea what magic they did, but I’ve never seen my skin actually glow and look so bright. I’ve had my fair share of facials before.
But I was dumbfounded at the results. I couldn’t stop staring at the mirror. I tried to recall what they did. I do remember my face being rubbed vigorously as products were applied.
I wish I had taken a before and after photo.
The vigorous rubbing didn’t hurt though. It felt kind of nice and a bit zen to be honest. To this day, I have no idea how they did it.
I’ve been unable to achieve that same glow that I miss so much.
So, did I get my answer? Is Korea the king of skincare? Yes. Yes, I did.
The best skincare experience I’ve had is in Korea.
To be fair, I have only tried one place. But, I suspect most other places are similar. So, if you’re ever looking for a stupendous facial experience or for some of the best skincare products, take a trip to Korea.
You won’t regret it!
