I Found Another Great Way to Get More Eyes on Your Stories!
Do you have multiple stories all written on a certain theme?
If you’re a writer with multiple titles written on a specific theme or category, chances are, you’ve already created a Medium list of all those related stories.
If you haven’t, you might just want to get started on that, right after you consider the following points mentioned below.
Another great use of the Medium “list” feature
Thanks to one Medium writer by the name of Cee Arr, I found another great way to get eyes on your stories and hopefully, earn you more money!
Wouldn’t you know it? The idea has to do with Medium’s list feature.
I was reading some of this creative young lady’s poetry, and I noticed something interesting at the end of her poems titled:Poetry: The Other Day (I Wondered).
There, at the end of the poem, she had included a card style link to her list of other poems. It looked like this:
I immediately thought: Wow! what a cool idea!
Normally, after I write the final thoughts on my own stories, I’ll try to include the titles of one or more related stories.
Sometimes I use the card links, like the one Cee used, and sometimes I merely list a few bulleted titles.
Although this is a good way to try and highlight some similar stories, on the same theme, I think using the list feature might be better.
By using the list feature, it allows me to make ALL my stories that relate to the theme or category available to readers.
Not only that, but this cuts down on me having to sort through stories, trying to decide which ones might be of interest.
By simply inserting a list of all the stories instead; readers can click the link, and browse through as many titles as they want, and possibly even bookmark the list for later.
