I Finally Joined The Medium Partner Program — My Goal For August Is To Make Five Figures

It’s ambitious, but possible

A few days ago, I joined the Medium partner program.

It was a difficult decision. On the one hand, I could really use the extra cash. On the other hand, filling out forms is tedious and I could have taken a nap instead.

But then I thought, “If I do this I will be rich soon. And then I can nap as much as I want.”

So here we are. Welcome to my road to early retirement.

At this point you might ask yourself, “Isn’t that a little unrealistic? Surely you can’t seriously believe you will make five figures in one month!”

To which I reply, “Shut up, hater.”

But also — yes. I seriously believe it is possible. In fact, I can even tell you what the five figures are.

  1. A classic action figure depicting a buff hero about to “kick some ass and take some names”.
  2. A fish figure. Type of fish still undecided.
  3. A bird figure, done in a realistic style.
  4. Figure 3 (a graph depicting the growth of my massive income).
  5. Another bird figure, but done in a more experimental style — probably unrecognizable as a bird unless it is explicitly mentioned.

Here are some rough sketches I made of the five figures:

A classic action figure depicting a buff hero about to “kick some ass and take some names”
A fish figure. Type of fish still undecided.
A bird figure, done in a realistic style.
Figure 3 (a graph depicting my income’s massive growth)
Another bird figure, but done in a more experimental style — probably unrecognizable as a bird unless it is explicitly mentioned.

Here’s how you can get involved:

Let me know which of the designs you liked best in the comments below! Also don’t forget to like, subscribe and ring the bell so you never miss a future upload!

To conclude, here’s my promise to all of you: Despite my inevitable future as a baller, a player, and a person who pretends to be younger than he actually is, I will never forget about my humble roots.

No matter how frustrated I might get because yet another gigantic wave has spilled salt water all over my fruit basket and ruined yet another brunch on my private yacht — thinking back to the times of struggling together with my fellow Medium writers will always put a smile on my face.
