For anyone who’s managed to avoid the storynado unleashed by Grandma Smillew and me, where have you been?

We refuse to let our spirits be crushed by the existential angst of comment purgatory. Fueled by the fire of our stymied muses, we innovated many workarounds.

Only now do I see we’ve missed the root cause of the whole mess. Commenters aren’t the problem, writers are!

We wouldn’t feel compelled to comment if you didn’t write such fantastic stories.

Since I don’t expect you to start writing crap, I devised a simple solution: unsubscribe from the most prolific authors.

It’s not personal.
If you comment so much on my stories that you get yourself blocked, I will immediately subscribe to you again.
