I feel the sun’s rays
It was a celebration in my family, their little one had his first success in life. Everyone was happy and joyful because out of the whole family I was the first one who managed to stand out in this way. After the contest, I had two more days off in which I didn’t talk to my history teacher and I still didn’t know what position I was in, so on the first day of school I was waited for in class by my conductor. She invited me to the chancellery because my history teacher and the headmistress are waiting for me there. I followed my director without thinking too much, I felt confident for the first time in a long time and I knew that nothing bad could happen. When I entered the chancellery, I saw all my teachers who were seated at a round table, and when they saw me, they stood up and applauded me. From what they said, I understood that for 10 years our school has not recorded such a high score in history. There were two diplomas on that table, and my name was written on both. I received one that I keep to this day and the second one was put on the school’s wall of honor. Since then I can say that my life has changed, all the teachers knew me, my grades have increased in all subjects, although maybe I didn’t deserve them in some, but I feel that they did this to show me that they appreciate me and that they regret that they — they looked differently. About a month after the school stage, I participated in the national one, I can’t say that I excelled, but I didn’t make a fool of myself either. I obtained a score of 78 out of 100, ranking 4th. From everyone’s point of view, I did great, but I don’t agree, I made some mistakes that could have been easily avoided, but I can’t complain, now from that boy whom everyone looked at differently, I’ve become one of everyone’s favorites that’s how I realized that at a certain level it doesn’t matter what color you are, how you’re dressed, what family you come from. It is important to be tidy, clean and to be good at something. A few days after the competition, I had a discussion with my history teacher. This discussion also led to my later professional training. He asked me after I finish high school what I want to become and I didn’t know what to answer but I told him what I had been through when I was much younger and that I wanted to change something. To what I said, he only had one answer: “It doesn’t matter what you do, but do it well, try to be the best and if you’re good at something, you’ll like it.” This made me think for a while — I am constantly learning what I am good at and what I would like to become, what I can do to help others.
