Articles

I’ll admit I haven’t written as much as I’ve wanted to for the past month. I’ve been focusing heavily on my thriller novel, which I’m halfway through. I also celebrated my son’s fourth birthday so that was another fun factor.

Here are some tips.

Create Your Own Publication

I created Great Writing Tips in my first week on Medium and it’s now grown so much, I have a nice collection of amazing guest writers who are contributing. This has been a great way to connect with other writers, but also it allows readers to find everything relating to this topic in one place.

Respond To A Comment Someone Left You

Here’s something that I’m not sure everyone does. Regardless of how many followers you have, you should take the time to respond to someone’s comment on your article or at least clap. This will generate a mutual relationship and they’re that much more likely to come back to your articles in the future.

Write Quality Articles

This is a given. Provide people with something they can benefit from. If you provide value, people will follow you and continue to support your work. Make sure your posts are thought-out and contain no spelling errors.

Clap For Other People

Medium can’t and shouldn’t be a one-sided relationship. You shouldn’t just post a million articles a day and never clap for other people. It’s important to be selfless on Medium. You should clap a lot. Holding the clap button takes a few seconds and takes no money out of your pocket. It puts money in someone else’s, which is a nice way to give.
