I Earned Nearly $100 in a Single Day After My Stats SURGED

“Stats go brr”

That was the quote that my dear friend Boysie Gordon said when he heard about what my stats chart was looking like yesterday.

For those who might not get the reference, I trace it to Internet slang for when the price of something (Bitcoin for example) just starts to go off the charts.

Regardless of your level of knowledge of Internet terminology, and I knew what he meant right away, the excitement in such a phrase is evident.

He and I were celebrating an apparent surge in my viewership and readership numbers yesterday.

Indeed, yesterday was a record day for virtually all of my stats. Most impressively (to me!) was the fact that I finally netted just under $100 in a single day!

How Much Was Yesterday’s Take?

I know what you are here to read about!

You want to know what the total earnings were on the day, and I’m going to give you that information.

Sure, I usually reverse all earnings talk for my weekly earnings reports on Sunday, and those are coming back by the way!

However, I figured I would give you a little insight into what my best day on the platform by far looked like.

So, the total income in just one day yesterday was:

$97.89!

It’s yet another step towards the dream that I have for my time spent on here.

I mention this in part as well to provide encouragement to others who are seeking to maximize their earnings potential on Medium as well. Sometimes, it is easy to get discouraged in the early days, but there are plenty of reasons to stick around!

Once upon a time, about 2 months ago, I was happy to clear even $2-$3 in a day.

With a ton of hard work, that number has climbed to where it was yesterday.

How Did I Get These Results?

There were a lot of things that went in my favor to achieve such a result yesterday.

The first was that I had two largely successful pieces come out back to back.

So, that was a bit lucky as far as the stats were concerned. Having two big winners on the same day is not an everyday occurrence for me. Getting both of them in under the same day’s statistics helped to pump those numbers up.

As a matter of fact, the piece about my first 60 days on the platform is the best performing piece from a dollars and cents point of view that I have ever written, pulling in $44.41 by itself.

That certainly helped to reach the number.

Couple that with the $34.14 that my piece about Friends of Medium earned, and that makes up a significant chunk of the day’s earnings right there.

I have to say a big THANK YOU to everyone that checked both of those out.

What’s Up Next?

This record-setting day likely won’t be breached again for some time.

I think 2/21/2024 will stand out as a banner day for some time for me, but the way I look at it, all record days can become your new floor if you are willing to keep striving and improving.

Perhaps someday I will look back at a $100 day as a routine thing.

For now though, it was nice to savor the moment.
